Saturday, 7:00 am to 8:30 am
This meeting is open and anyone may attend.
Focus: Discussion,
This group takes full advantage of the ACA open literature policy. According to this policy Literature policy, “It has always been accepted that ACA groups should remain open in choosing literature. That is, ACA meetings may draw from various sources.” In this meeting, we read from historical writings by Stoic philosophers. We believe that Stoicism has many teachings that support recovery. We do not promote or recommend any book, or wording, over those in ACA literature; instead, we use these writings to support our secular perspective of building healthy experiences in adulthood after growing up in an alcoholic or dysfunctional families. The Zoom information is the SAME for ALL AgnosticACA meetings. All information on how to access the meeting is below the meeting description. AgnosticACA is open to everyone in ACA. If you are atheist, agnostic, a freethinker, humanist, uncomfortable with the religious language in ACA literature, questioning what Higher Power means to you, or simply looking for a new meeting, then this group might be for you. We are not angry atheists or against a Higher Power. We believe in personal accountability and that ACA recovery can be successful with or without “god.” We acknowledge a Judeo/Christian Higher Power does not work for everyone. If you’d like a secular approach to the 12-steps, we invite you to join us. AgnosticACA supports the following meetings. Note that ALL times are USA Eastern Time Monday 7:00 AM Tuesday 7:00 AM Wednesday 7:00 AM Wednesday 6:00 PM (Beginner’s Meeting - 1st & 3rd Wednesday of the month) Thursday 6:00 PM Friday 7:00 AM Saturday 7:30 AM Sunday 6:00 PM There is only one requirement for ACA membership: the desire to recover from the effects of family dysfunction.
